Despite outward appearances, Hotel Sawsbuck has not operated as a hotel for at least thirty years. Its famously eccentric owner instead uses this vast, grand hotel to host parties and celebrations of unparalleled size; even the Lualdi Pokémon League has used Hotel Sawsbuck for conferences before. The pillar columns and glistening chandeliers in the lobby are rather avant garde compared to the more plain, simple, and functional buildings that populate Port Zolfo, but it is said that the owner cares little if even the most poorly-dressed trainers venture into Hotel Sawsbuck. She is said to reward anyone with interesting stories or exploits to tell -- the more extraordinary the tale, the better the reward.
